BESPOKE PLANT PROCUREMENT & OTHER NEWS

Dear Plant Lovers,

Weekend #2 is in the books and what a weekend it was!  If this pace keeps up, we’ll have to extend our store hours!  Here’s everything you need to know about last weekend in bullet form.

  • On Saturday we launched a new bespoke plant procurement service across New York City. Now you can DM us on Instagram or text us at (347) 471-1026 with a specific plant you have in mind and we’ll do the legwork to hunt it down for you.  This service was borne out of customers leaving their numbers with us didn’t see exactly what they wanted in our showroom.  Several happy customers already served!
  • We have new arrivals! We got another huge delivery of inventory from one of our suppliers including some varieties that are quickly becoming our favorites (rubber plants, fiddle leaf fig trees, palms, African masks, monsteras) as well as some new ones that we haven’t had the chance to get to know yet (pinstripe prayer plants, various types of philodendra, watermelon pileas).
  • Events are in the works. Although it is a couple months away, our first event is on the books for Sunday, August 5th from 3-5p.  We will be hosting Terra + Twine (register at http://www.terraandtwine.com/up-next) for an afternoon workshop on macramé plant baskets.  Stay tuned for more opportunities to chat, relax, have a sip, and learn some new skills – we will be booking 1-2 events per month this summer.
  • Last weekend we posted an ad on Instagram about our first opening at the shop – we are on the hunt for an intern with a passion for plants and a knack for customer service, social media/marketing, sales, and design. We invite all interested parties to stop by our shop next Saturday or Sunday during business hours to inquire and chat with us about the details.  Referrals gladly welcomed!
  • On Saturday we had a photoshoot in our shop with our dear friend Kanika Oung (@kanikaoung). Some of the photos shown here were shot by her.  You’ll also see some new shots on the site and in the press, which leads us to…
  • Last but not least, we have been developing more relationships with vendors in Florida, California, and New Jersey. While we work to launch our ecommerce site to make plants easy for the whole country to buy, we are diligently working to cultivate more connections with suppliers to meet demand (pun intended).

Thank you so much Ridgewood and we can’t wait for the weekend!

💚Roy & Milana
