Ficus Elastica (Rubber Plant) is native to SE and East Asia. Domesticated in the subtropical U.S., the plant is suited to almost any lighting condition and known for growing into massive trees that tower over buildings in the shape of a huge, shaggy giant with tens of arms in every direction. A very fast grower and fun to watch, the rubber plant is a must in every serious collector's home.
Our 24-36" tall rubber plant is grown by a Southern Florida family nursery that has specialized in ficus, dracaena, and cacti for over 30 years. The company's 25 acres of shade houses are a testament to hard work - what started with an immigrant family's small nursery has bloomed into one of the country's largest growers of tropical indoor houseplants. The company grows and stocks classic favorites such as the dracaena mass cane, to newer more coveted houseplants such as philodendron monstera adansonii and ficus audrey.
For an overview on how we ship plants to you, see our guide here. All items are shipped from Florida on Mondays or Tuesdays to allow for maximum continuous transit time while avoiding time spent sitting in warehouses, trucks, or other distribution points over the weekend. Depending on your location and the weather conditions across the country, we may be forced to hold on shipping until conditions improve as we have had items freeze while sitting in Chicago for four days and get delayed due to heavy holiday volume (Mother's Day, Christmas, etc.). We will make every attempt to ship your item promptly on the very next Monday or Tuesday given that there are no anomalies in shipping conditions.
Items received in a damaged condition will be refunded immediately as we investigate the cause of the issue with the shipper. Returns will not be accepted, please dispose of any unusable items after they have been refunded.
